Writing a dissertation paper and dealing with reviewers’ criticism?

The most important thing while writing a dissertation paper is to give your best. The feedback from the reviewers is also an important aspect that can help you to improve the quality of your dissertation paper. It is not always possible for all of us to understand what needs to be done with our dissertation papers after receiving criticism from reviewers. So, we will discuss some points to help you deal with this problem:

Make an Appointment with the reviewer.

The first step to dealing with reviewers’ criticism while writing a dissertation paper is making an appointment with the reviewer. This can be done by emailing them and asking if they would be willing to meet at a mutually agreeable time and place. If you feel nervous, this is also a good opportunity to express your concerns about their feedback before meeting face-to-face. You mustn’t make an appointment with someone who will be more lenient or uninvolved during the review process, as this person will not be able to give much useful feedback on how well your research was conducted and what changes are needed for it to go further in terms of quality/reputation etcetera.

On a side note, consult a dissertation writing service if you can’t seem to handle it on your own.

Meet with reviewers

The feedback from the reviewers will be very useful in improving your dissertation paper. You can meet with the reviewers, ask questions and get clarification on their feedback. You should also ask for examples of how they would like to see the feedback implemented.

Analyze the feedback

The critical feedback of your paper is the most important part you should consider while writing a dissertation. But how? How can you make use of it and make your work better than before? The answer is simple but requires a lot of work from your side.

You need to analyze the feedback and decide what to do next. This will help you avoid mistakes in all future writings too! After analyzing the feedback, if any reviewer suggests some changes in your dissertation paper, then go ahead and edit it accordingly. Usually, reviewers suggest minor changes like grammatical or spelling mistakes through comments, so they don’t bother reading an entire manuscript again just for such small things (because trust me, no one likes doing this).

If a reviewer pointed out something about content or structure of your dissertation paper, then meet with them in person or over a phone call so that they can explain their suggestions to you more clearly because sometimes reviewers feel shy asking such questions directly without being face-to-face with someone else especially when their language skills are not very good enough yet which happens quite often among international students studying abroad who have never known English before coming here so they might not be able to express themselves clearly, especially when talking face-to-face with someone else, as well as making sense while giving suggestions/feedback, etc. Instead, they prefer sending emails which doesn’t give much information about what exactly needs improvement because most of us tend to ignore those messages without looking them into detail thoroughly until somebody else points out where exactly these problems exist – be sure not only to read each sentence carefully but also look at paragraphs together because sometimes there could be 2 sentences together which both contain grammatical errors though individually there aren’t many mistakes at all but combined make up a big problem.

Decide what to do next.

Now that you have read the reviewers’ comments, it’s time to decide what to do next. You should also consider whether or not the feedback was helpful and how much impact it made on your dissertation. But if you can’t figure it out, get help from essay writers, who have an amazing bunch of dissertation writers.

Will these changes improve my dissertation?

If your answers are “no” or “I’m not sure,” then there is no need to make any changes.

Instead, take a break from writing and come back with fresh eyes. At this point, it is best if you wait until after you have finished reading through all of the reviews before deciding if they will help or hinder your progress in writing your thesis paper.

If yes: Then ask yourself if these changes would make a difference in improving your work by asking yourself where these suggestions fit into the bigger picture (i.e., do they address an overall theme within my paper?). If yes: Consider making these adjustments as soon as possible; don’t let them distract you from working on other dissertation sections either!

Conclusion

Reviewers’ feedback is an integral part of writing a dissertation paper. It can help you improve your work and know your strengths and weaknesses. Therefore, you must deal with their criticism professionally so that it does not come in the way of achieving your goal.
