UAM is a one-page udyam registration form that allows MSMEs to self-certify their existence, bank account information, promoter/Aadhaar owner information, and other important details. The unique Udyog Aadhaar Number will be included in the Udyog Aadhaar Acknowledgement, which will be sent to the email address provided in the Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAN).
Existing businesses that have filed an Entrepreneurship Memorandum-I, Entrepreneurship Memorandum-II, or both, or who have a Small Scale Industry registration prior to the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006 (27 of 2006), are not required to file an Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum, but they can if they wish. It is not illegal to file several Udyog Aadhaar Memorandums with the same Aadhaar Number.
The Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum is filed on a self-declaration basis, which means there are no supporting papers to upload or send while completing the Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum. However, if documentary evidence of the information supplied in the Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum is required, the Central Government or the State Government, or such person as may be authorised in this regard, may do so.
Filling out the Udyog Aadhaar Form Online:
Aadhaar Number – 12 digit Aadhaar number Fill in the relevant area with the applicant’s Aadhaar number.
Name of Owner- The applicant must enter his or her name precisely as it appears on his or her Aadhaar Card, which was issued by the UIDAI.

One applicant can have several businesses, each with its own Udyog Aadhaar number, and each with the same Aadhaar number as Enterprise 1 and Enterprise 2 and so on.
Type of Organization- The Applicant can choose the best organisational structure for his or her company from the alternatives given. The Applicant must certify that the legal authority has given him or her permission to fill out this online form (i.e. the company that has registered for Udyog Aadhaar). Each business will receive just one Udyog Aadhaar number.
Postal Address – The Applicant should include the Enterprise’s entire postal address, including state, district, pin code, phone number, and email address, in the relevant section.
Date of Commencement – Fill in the relevant field with the date that the business entity began operations in the past.
Information on previous registrations (if any) – If the Applicant’s enterprise, for which the Udyog Aadhaar is being applied for, has already been issued a valid EM-I/II by the concerned GM (DIC) in accordance with the MSMED Act 2006 or the SSI registration that existed prior to the said Act, such number may be mentioned in the appropriate place.
Bank Account Number- In the relevant area, the Applicant must submit his or her bank account number used to conduct the firm.The IFSCCode of the bank branch where the applicant’s account is held must also be provided. The IFS code is now printed on the bank’s check books. The IFSC code may be found on the bank’s website if the Applicant knows the name of the bank and the branch where his or her account is situated.
Major Activity- The company can choose either “Manufacturing” or “Service” as its primary activity for Udyog Aadhaar. If your company does both types of work, and the majority of it is in the manufacturing sector with a small portion in the service sector, choose “Manufacturing” as your major activity type. If the majority of your work is in the service sector with a small portion in the manufacturing sector, choose “Services.”
NIC Code (National Industry Classification Code)- To incorporate all of their operations, the Applicant may select several National Industrial Classification-2008 (NIC) Codes. By selecting the “Add More” button, the user can pick additional NIC codes from the Manufacturing and Service sectors. Pick “Manufacturing” radiobutton and continue adding by clicking “Add More” button if you want to add Manufacturing, otherwise select “Services” radiobutton and continue adding by clicking “Add More” button if you want to add Service. The Central Statistical Organisation (CSO), which is part of India’s Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, creates the NIC codes.
Person employed- In the relevant area, list the total number of individuals who are directly paid pay or wages by the company.
Plant and Machinery/Equipment Investment- The initial investment (purchase value of products) is to be taken into account for calculating the total investment, excluding the cost of pollution control, research and development, industrial safety equipment, and such other items as may be specified by RBI announcement.
DIC- Depending on the Enterprise’s location, the Applicant must fill in the DIC’s location. This column will only be active and give an option if the district has several DICs. In fact, if your district only has one DIC, it will automatically enrol you in it.
Submit- To create an acknowledgement number, the applicant must click the Submit button.
